Weekend Horseback Riding

This past Saturday I took my family to Kualoa Ranch for a little time off and relaxation. Located on the Northeastern side of Oahu in the Hawaiian countryside, it is 45 minutes from Honolulu. Our first time visiting and I can tell you that it will not be our last. We have the option to ride an ATV but decided to do horseback riding instead. It was a 2 hour and 15 minute tour and love every minute of it. The view was amazing and spectacular, so peaceful that you don’t want to leave. Now I fully understand why Hollywood producers are so in-love with this area. Movies such as Jurassic Park, Godzilla (check my photo of his foot prints) You, Me and Dupree, 50 first date, Windtalkers, Mighty Joe Young to “The Rock” Journey 2 are all filmed here. Also television shows like Lost and Hawaii Five-O are regulars in the area. You will see big mark signs to the exact location were the movie was filmed. I have to confess that I used my Canon SX40 HS camera instead of my iPhone only because It’s easier to take photos with a big camera strap to my neck while riding Dusty (name of my horse). Hope you enjoy my photos and please visit my Photo Gallery page. Shakas!
